Sweet Sydney was a little depressed when she arrived, but she's come out of her shell after about a week and is showing her very affectionate, sweet nature. She greets her foster family with lots of happy tail wags and doggie kisses. She has started to cuddle up with the other dogs in her foster home, and her humans. She's happy to frolic in the yard and loves to play a game of chase with her canine-foster-sister.
Sydney is medium energy. She seems to be on the submissive side with other dogs. Her recall is pretty good, and she is fully housetrained.
Sydney currently lives with cats, and would be happy to share her home with feline friends. She ignores the cats for the most part and has learned to respect their sharp end. She shows no aggression towards the cats whatsoever.
She is not currently living with young children, but we don't see any problem signs for living with kids, other then some typical young Catahoula roughhousing. She's also still learning not to jump up.
Sydney has no food or toy aggression with either humans or dogs (no growling over food or toys). All the dogs get chew bones and eat them together on the floor with no trouble.
Sydney is working on crate training. She was quite vocal and agitated about it at first. She has learned to quiet down but may prefer a home were crating for the most part won't be necessary. Syd has been left free roaming to a certain degree, with some dog proofing of the house, and she has done very well!!
This sweet gal is one very smart little cookie and is learning her basic commands and house rules quickly... we are amazed at some of her problem solving skills!!! Syd is a love bug and will be very missed when she finds her very lucky forever home.
She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
