Meet the puppies! Joey, John, Myles, Quincy & Robby ALL ADOPTED

When we said we’ve been invaded by puppies, we weren’t kidding! We introduced you to Xander and Lauren yesterday – now meet our crew of five Catahoula/Aussie Shepherd brothers!

John, Joey, Myles, Quincy, and Robby are approximately 12 weeks old. They were surrendered by their owner and are now in foster homes in Ottawa. Having just arrived a couple of days ago, they’re still under assessment. But from what we can tell, they’re super-friendly, love to give puppy kisses, and are great with both humans and other dogs. They’re typical puppies – curious, playful, and fearless! Myles, Quincy, and Robby are together in one foster home, and John and Joey are together in another home. Their foster moms will share more about their personalities as they become more familiar with the puppies and their habits.

Please note that although the puppies are Catahoula mixes, they’ll be smaller than typical Catahoulas when they’re fully grown – they’ll most likely be medium-small adults.

Meet Xander (ADOPTED) and Lauren (ADOPTED)!

Catahoula Rescue Ontario has been invaded by puppies! Here are two of them…

Xander

Xander is a 4-5 month old Catahoula-hound mix (not sure what kind of hound!). He is a confident & playful pup with a great temperament. He loves to play with other dogs and his toys. He is still under assessment, as he just arrived in foster care on November 25th. He has been a joy to have around so far, and is very adaptable. He has done great on leash and did great at the dog park with his new foster brothers. He goes into his crate on his own to relax – safe to say he is crate trained! He also seems to already know sit. While he is doing great with house training, he is still a puppy and needs supervision and frequent trip outside.

Lauren

Lauren is a 4-5 month old Catahoula-Mountain Cur mix. She is a very sweet girl, very human-oriented, and gives great hugs. She is fairly confident and playful. She is still very young and while her housetraining is going quite well, she does need supervision and many trips outside. Lauren just arrived in foster care on November 25th and is still under assessment, but from what we see so far she'll make a great addition to a family. She has been spayed and is fully up to date on her vaccinations.

Meet Kane (courtesy listing) ADOPTED!

Kane is a courtesy listing. He is not with Catahoula Rescue Ontario – he’s with a cat rescue in New York!

Kane is a friendly, playful dog. He lived as an indoor dog and is housebroken. He has very flashy markings with a "watch eye" – a nice looking dog. He weighs around 70lbs.

Kane has never been around small children, but would be OK with teenagers. He would be perfect for an active young man who would love to have a canine buddy to hang around with. He loves to be near people.

Meet Felicity ADOPTED!

Felicity is an approximately 2 year old Catahoula/Australian Shepherd mix. She is a very sweet and friendly girl who loves people. She is very playful, and loves to play with other dogs at the park and with her toys. She’s been very well behaved since the first day with her foster family. She is fully house trained, takes treats gently, and knows “Sit”. Still a young dog, she has a good amount of energy but after a good play session is great in the house. Felicity is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is being fostered in Bowmanville.
