Meet Fiona ADOPTED!

Fiona

This sweet little girl is a joy to be around. She is 45lbs, and about 11 months old or so. She looks like a Beauceron, or a Shepherd mix. We’re not sure on breed, except full bred sweetheart!

So far, her foster mom says that she is a very quick learner, and just loves to please! She will be a treat to train. She is already housetrained, and she’s learning her basic commands in her foster home. Fiona is also a quiet girl, that doesn’t bark much at all, but will whine a bit when she is bored. She loves to play fetch, and loves playing with her stuffies! She is cuddly, and affectionate with her humans, and enjoys making new friends wherever she goes.

Fiona has done very well with other dogs, and loves to play! She can join a home with canine companions, or as an only dog, provided she continues to have social opportunities. She seems pretty interested in the kitty cats though, so no cats would be best. So far she is not overly high energy, but needs a good play and romp each day.

Fiona

She recently had a very nice visit with children (2 & 3) in her foster home, and did marvelously, soaking up the love. So, although she is not living with children currently, she may be a nice candidate for a home with dog-savvy little ones. She loves attention, and loves being with her family.

Fiona’s obstacle right now is that she is scared of vehicles (being near them), and gets car sick. Her foster mom is working hard to show her that cars are not so bad, and trying out a few remedies for the car sickness. She’ll need some extra patience in this domain, for the time being.

Fiona is a gentle soul, with the sweetest facial expressions. If you love a game of fetch, followed by some cuddles, and look forward to working with an eager to please pup, than Fiona may be the gal for you!

Fiona is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm tested (negative).

Meet Porter ADOPTED!

Porter
Hi there, I'm Porter – I'm a 35 pound furry bundle of love :-) I've got a super-sweet disposition and my favourite thing to do is snuggle next to you on the sofa so I can get lots of pats and attention.

I'm not quite sure what kind of dog I am. I mean, I'm just like your typical dog with four legs and a tail, but I'm a bit of a mystery mix – I'm going to guess that I'm an Aussie Shepherd and some sort of Terrier. I'm an older boy, maybe around 6 or 7 – I don't know for sure because I can't count :-) So I'm past the crazy puppy stage and I'm calm and quiet in the house.

When I'm not flaked out on the sofa, I like to play outside with my foster doggie brothers and sister. I get along well with them, although one of my foster brothers picks on me a bit. I'm not sure why, because I'm a really easy going guy and don't cause any trouble. I guess he's just jealous of my good looks :-)

Although I'm old enough to know at least the basic dog commands, my previous owner never took the time to teach me anything other than how to walk on a leash and to not pee in the house. (I had a few accidents when I first arrived in my foster home, but it's all good now :-) I would love to go to obedience class with you so I can learn stuff all the other dogs know how to do, like Sit and Down and Stay. Oh, and I also don't mind being in my crate – I sleep in it every night, and it's so comfy that I don't make a peep till everyone gets up in the morning.

Porter
I'm in great shape overall, but some of my front teeth are damaged. Lots of dogs where I come from have teeth like me – it happened because I was so infested with fleas that I chewed and chewed at the itchy spots and my teeth got worn down. But not to worry! I'm flea-free now, and the people at Catahoula Rescue Ontario have been in touch with a vet who's going to take a look at my teeth and suggest the best way to repair them. CRO will pick up the tab for any dental work that I need done – how cool is that?!

One more thing you should know about me – I like to chase cats. Even though I'd have fun living with a cat, the cat might not like it so much. So if you want to adopt me, it would be best if you don't have a cat. I don't mind living with other dogs, I'm used to it. But I don't think I'd mind if I was the only dog in the house so I could get all the love and pats and attention. Because like I said before, I love getting pats and attention!

So that's pretty much everything about me. If you think you'd like to adopt me, send in an application and my people will get back to your people :-)

Ciao!
Porter
