Meet Grace ADOPTED!

Grace

Hi my name is Grace. I am a young 1-2 year old mix (the humans think maybe Plott Hound/Catahoula mix) and weigh approx 35 pounds.

I am a gentle sweetheart who loves to be with people and cuddle.

I am not a noisy girl and I do not bark unless I am playing or it is time to let me out of my crate. I have a deep soulful hound voice when I do bark (must be the hound in me!)

I love to run and play in the yard now that the temperature is getting warmer. I did not like the cold at all, probably because I am was little underweight. I have a great appetite and have grained a few pounds (but still have a few more to put on!)

Before coming into foster care, I was not eating very well and probably not very regularly either. Food is Number 1 on my most favourite things list and I just can`t help myself when my humans are eating and will sometimes try to grab it from their hands. I am learning this is not acceptable.

Grace

I am currently living with dogs and cats and we are getting along well.

I am crate trained and house trained. I will come when I am called and I listen when I am told No. I will start learning the basics like sit and down shortly. I am not great on that thing they call a leash though - that will be a work in progress.

I do not need a super amount of exercise and I am slowly building up stamina and muscles. A few play sessions a day and something of my own to chew on in the house is good.

I have been known to try and create my own chew toys with slippers and gloves, etc. so a bit of puppy proofing is necessary to help keep me safe and out of trouble. I can be insecure and I need time to adjust to new things. I am very trusting of my humans and I look for their support.

Love,
Grace

Grace is spayed, heartworm tested negative, and her vaccines are up to date. She will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Meet Lady ADOPTED!

Lady

Lady is an approximately 1 year old mix (we think maybe Catahoula – Plott Hound). She is a medium sized pup weighing around 30-35 pounds. She would like to introduce herself:

Hello everyone, my name is Lady and I love to play. I spend my days with my foster brother and sister who keep me entertained with our squeaky toys and stuffed animals. We share well and play great together even though I play like a puppy most of the time.

I am young and I am still learning. I am working on some commands like sit and my recall is getting better. I think I would benefit from some puppy school or obedience training.

I am extremely curious about all this new stuff to me. I like to investigate every nook and cranny of my foster house. Everything is so new to me!

I am very fast, agile and full of energy. I love my big back yard and all the fun stuff there is to do outside.

I am crate trained and love my peace and quiet and will cuddle up with my foster parents or brother/sister when it is time to sit and watch a movie or read the paper.

Love,
Lady

Lady is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative), and will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Meet Sunny!

Sunny

Hi! I’m Sunny! My name says a lot about me. I am a happy, playful, energetic girl with a “sunny” disposition.

I am all-Canadian mix (they really are not sure what I am other than cute as a button! Some said maybe there is Shiba Inu in me, others calls me a Catahoula since the nice people at Catahoula Rescue took me in). I am young, maybe around 10-15 months and weigh around 30lbs. Everyone always comments on my ears – they are very expressive and quirky! My foster mom says I am very fluffy and soft and she just loves to ruffle my fur.

Sunny

I am still very puppy-like in my play style, but I am fully housetrained. I do love to play and jump and run. I play really well with my foster siblings. My foster mom says I would really benefit from some help with my leash manners and learning new things, so she thinks I should go to something called obedience school. She said that way I could do agility later, which she says she thinks I would be really good at and find very fun. She is always thinking of my future and “career”goals.

I am crate trained and I can sit (most of the time - if I am not too excited). I am a sweet girl that loves dogs and people and cuddling.

Love,
Sunny

Sunny is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative), and will be microchipped prior to adoption.

Meet Charlie ADOPTED!

Hi there, I’m Charlie.

My foster mom calls me Chubby Nubby because, well, let’s face it, I’m a little bit plump. And I just have a little nub of a tail – I got that from my Aussie Shepherd side. I might also have Australian Cattle Dog in me, and some people think I look a bit like a Collie. I’m around 1.5 years old and medium-sized at around 50 pounds (give or take a few!)

I’m house trained and have pretty good manners. I know lots of commands – sit, down, shake paw. I’m pretty good at fetch too, but sometimes I stop on the way back to chew the ball. Speaking of on the way back, my recall is super-good if I do say so myself. Whenever we’re at the dog park, I always come when my foster mom or dad calls me. I love the park because I get to run loose and play and meet other dogs.

I’m living with two doggie brothers and one doggie sister in my foster home. We get along really well. One of my brothers is my age, and we play together a lot. It’s fun to chase each other around the backyard and wrestle. He’s taller than me, but I can run just as fast as him – maybe even faster! I’m pretty sure these extra pounds I have will melt right off with my new exercise regime. And then watch out, I’ll be the fastest dog out there! Maybe you’d even like to do flyball or agility with me so I can show off just how smart and fast I am!

I don’t like when my foster family leaves the house without me (I should be part of all the fun right??!) so I whine and whimper for a little while, but then I settle down and catch some zzs’s.

I really like to be near my foster peeps. I love to move in real close and snuggle with them when we’re hanging out on the sofa. I guess you could call me Chubby Snuggly Nubby! I’ll lie down on the kitchen floor while they’re making supper and follow them around the house to watch what they’re up to. I don’t want to get in the way, I just want to be close to them. Makes me feel more safe and secure knowing my peeps are close by.

So that’s a little bit about me – now I want to find out about you! If you want a smart, cute, cuddly boy like me in your life, get in touch with CRO and let’s see if we’re a good match.

Ciao for now!
Charlie
