Meet Miles ADOPTED!

miles

Miles is an exuberant and affectionate young man (DOB ~ Oct’12) with bouncy puppy energy and ridiculously charming good looks. But don’t let his whirly toy-tossing goofiness fool you; this charmer loves nothing more than being in contact with the people he loves (which is pretty much everyone), sitting in laps, and giving lots and lots of kisses.

True to his age and history, Miles is still learning how to be the best little gentleman he can be, and will need a family to help him when his mouth is sore from teething, remind him that ALL of his paws belong on the floor, and that you just don’t get everything for free.

Miles is a very quick learner, enjoys mind benders and physical challenges, and is brave enough to conquer all that is asked of him. He is establishing a wonderful foundation of basic obedience, and will be a star pupil when his new family continues his education. Miles will excel at physical outdoor activities just as well as he will excel as a cuddle-buddy.

His reaction to felines is currently unknown; he is learning to tone-down his excitement with children, and doing well; and although he can play a little rough at times, enjoys the company of equally bouncy and playful canines. Miles enjoys the comfort and security of his crate, and is beginning to provide very deliberate cues to ask to go outside to do his business.

Miles will be receiving his last set of vaccine boosters shortly, and has been neutered.

Meet Abby ADOPTED!

Abby is a uniquely beautiful and happy 2-3 year-old Australian Shepherd/Labrador mix. The girl knows how to work her puppy dog eyes for dog treats and human food! She is very relaxed and quiet around the house – nothing seems to spook Abby or make her nervous. She gets along with people of all ages and gets along well with all dogs at the dog park. While she plays great at dog parks and on leash, she would prefer the attention from people – that’s where the treats and belly rubs come from! Her foster mom thinks Abby would be the perfect family dog so that way she can get all the attention she needs and wants. Abby is learning basic commands and is catching on quick! She knows commands like sit, stay, down, off, come, and is eager to learn whatever else you want to teach her.

Abby is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Meet Stanley!

stan 1

Stanley is a gorgeous 4 year old Catahoula/Hound mix (possibly some Aussie Shepherd mixed in as well). As you can see in his pictures, he has the most stunning blue eyes, as well as beautiful thick & soft fur. He's a goofy guy, full of energy and exuberance. He loves to play and is always trying to get his furry foster brother and sister to play with him. He's house trained, knows basic commands, and has great recall at the dog park. He's also pretty good walking on-leash, although he prefers the freedom of running off-leash at the park. He's a little bit overweight at the moment, but he's been slimming down and would probably be a great agility dog.

Stanley will bark when the doorbell rings and sometimes in the backyard, but otherwise he's quiet in the house and is happy to lie on the sofa beside you - or on top of you! He can be a little bit stubborn about giving up his toys or when you try to push him off the pillow on your bed, but a treat will usually do the trick - he's quite food-motivated. Don't leave your leftovers on the kitchen counter!

Stanley would be best suited to a home with another dog who will play with him and keep him company when his people aren't at home. Some dog experience is be a bonus. No cats would be best. He is UTD on all his vaccines, neutered, HW tested and on preventive.

Meet Bella ADOPTED!

I’m Bella! Everyone who meets me tells me I am a beautiful heartbreaker! I am a Belgian Shepherd mix I think, but I am not sure with what. Maybe a Weimeraner or Greyhound? I sure like to run and I have the most spectacular ears! I am a single girl, about 6 months old, looking my true LOVE - a family that will take me to dog parks, go for long walks, and give me lots of toys and bones to play with.

I like to chew things…anything…..and I am lightning fast! I try to counter surf if you are not looking. I just can’t resist chewy things so I need a family that will give me durable toys and puppy proof their house so that I don’t make them mad at me. I just can’t resist the urge! But I am sure I will grow out of it in time. My foster mommy is teaching me that I shouldn’t jump up on people and that puppy mouthing is a no no. I love my toys and share well with my furry foster brother…. though I do try to sneak his food sometimes. It is just so much more interesting than my own! So if I have new furry family members, I need someone to encourage me to eat my own food before I take it from others.  I like my food and treats, but if I am too scared or nervous treats will not entice me. When something startles me I need some gentle loving and reassurance.

But don’t let this deter you! I am a wonderful, happy, and very playful, athletic girl. I love meeting new dogs and people and have played well with everyone I have met. I just love to PLAY PLAY PLAY! I play well with dogs of all sizes (my foster bro is a mini schnauzer and I lived with a Yorkie before him). I don’t know if I have met any cats, but I would be willing to try. On walks I will pull a bit on the leash to get to meet a new friend, but otherwise I mostly walk nicely. I do like to dart around a bit checking out all the new smells in this winter wonderland. I LOVE to play outside. I am not completely used to snow yet but I think I like it. It sure tastes good anyway! But not as good as sticks. I sure love sticks - even if they are still attached to their bushes/trees!

I am house trained, crate trained, and I can sit (most of the time - if I am not too excited)! I would like to learn some new commands, so I would like it if my new family took me to school so I can learn. I bet I would be good at dog sports once I am a bit older and have learned to listen a bit better. I am a sweet girl that loves dogs and people and cuddling and kisses. I will lay all over you if you let me. I want a family to hug me and kiss me and love me.

Bella is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
