Hi my name is Cali - the all sunshine girl. I am a lovely young lady around one, but ladies never disclose their exact age. I am up to date on shots and have been spayed – but before that happened, I had a litter of puppies. Not sure where my babies were taken once I was dumped in the shelter. Oh how my heart hurts to think about that. Perhaps that is why I have such a special disposition for little humans. I think they are really special. Mom makes it a habit to take me to the park with my foster sisters (one canine one little human). The children love to come over and pet me. I graciously accept and appreciate the delight they bring to me. I even heard a little boy whisper that he thought I had stepped right out from the movie 101 Dalmations – tee hee!
I am working on commands and so far I understand ‘sit’. Oh how I love to sit pretty and soak up the praise. Mom and I are trying to work on leash training, but I prefer to eat the leashes rather then have them hold me back. I am young and beautiful and I want to see the world! When mom does let me off leash I am quite responsive to her recall. On one of our lovely adventures, I found a lovely Doberman suitor named Da’Vinci. Boy, do I have him wrapped around my little paw. I am quite the social girl. I make friends wherever I go. Mom praises me for my wonderful communication and loves my play style. We are pretty certain I am Catahoula/Dane, but sometimes I play with my paws like a Boxer – maybe in my last life I was one.
I am a huge CUDDLE BUG! I love to be close, especially at night. I make sure to press my body into mom. I want to make sure that if she needs me for any reason at all, I am right there by her side. It is nice to feel needed.
Many people swoon over my attractive appearance. People always stop to pet me on the street. On occasion people have slowed down in their car right beside us on walks to get a better look at me and to pass compliments. It is quite flattering, but truthfully for me looks are not important. I am a simple girl that wants nothing more than to be loved. If you think that you would like to open your heart and home to me, then fill out an application and maybe we could meet.
